I've taken to writing in my notebook during lunch. Getting back to my roots! I wrote yesterday and began editing today. That's the problem with writing by hand. It always needs more help.
Top Chef on Bravo has taken over my soul. I don't know why I love it so much. So odd. I absolutely HATE the commercials on that channel, though. I will never care what the housewives in New Jersey are doing. EVER! Don't try to make me care.
My coworker has taken to blaming me for things. For instance, she was out sick on Monday and texted me the message "Can you close for me? I'll trade you for Wednesday." We never talked about it and I didn't think about it until last night. Too late to text. So I texted her back this morning, asking who was opening. She said, "I am. Did you close on Monday?" Okay... if I hadn't closed, who would have? Idiot... but I digress. So I say, "I did but I'll just take the hours. No problem." When I mention this to the pharmacists, they decide to see what she says when asked about it so when she goes to leave, Heidi says, "I thought you were closing tonight." And do you know what coworker said? She said... "Shelley didn't get back to me in time so I just decided I'd open." Granted I didn't text her back very early but this was NOT about me. I wasn't the one who was sick. It was up to her to get this all situated. And now she decided she needs to take ALL of Friday off because she needs to go to the funeral of her friend's ex-husband. You know why? Because she babyset the friend's son when he was younger. HOW DOES THAT MAKE THE FUNERAL A MUST-ATTEND FOR HER???!? Oh God. I'm going to kill her and end up going to prison. And if she's not around, who's going to attend her funeral since she's the happy funeral attender in these parts.
Loved Glee this week. The storyline is getting a little convoluted but that's how TV works with most of the shows I like. I just grin and bear it. Much easier with Glee because I can just listen to the music and be happy. So much Kurt this week. I read about this bit in TV Guide so I was very excited to finally get to see it.
Leverage should be on again soon. I really do love summer TV shows these days. It's such a nice change from summer reruns. Long live summer! And long live summer TV!
