Just the other day, I stood up at work (back to the land of gray cubicle walls for me!) and announced, "I miss LiveJournal."
Since a good majority of people I work with are either millennials (who've never heard of LiveJournal and barely know that we once needed a place for journaling and oh, so much more) or oldsters like me (who went the family route and spend a good majority of the 2000s doing funny things like getting married and having kids), everyone looked at my blankly and I promptly sat down again, wishing I had a place to journal all about the events that had just transpired.
Because the world needs to know that I stood up and announced that I'm old. And weird. Can't forget the weird.
I was reminded of Dreamwidth a few days after this incident. Low and behold, I've looked in on my journal enough to keep it safe and sound and ready for me to come back. I've been in the world of yarn, sinking all my creativity into taking the crochet world by storm. Well, jumping into a puddle now and then to let those around me in the crochet world that I was there and doing things my way!
Right now, I'm working on a lot of unique fandom things like some new fandom (mostly Marvel and Harry Potter) inspired bags (that I still don't have good pictures of) and other wearables.
I've also fallen down the rabbit hole of Critical Role and the whole D&D experience that has filled the void of writing and also gave me a sense of where I belonged when I first moved to this new city, nearly three years ago.
Time has certainly flown. I'm definitely a different person. The online journaling experience is definitely a different creature than when I left it. I'm excited to see what happens next!

So, welcome back! ;)

Date: 2019-04-14 06:58 pm (UTC)From:Also, yarn? I knit, mostly poorly, and am on Ravelry. You, too? Though I admit I haven't done too much on there lately. I should get back to it. *snorts out a laugh* I am Psyche29 there if you're there and want to add, though seriously, zero pressure! ;)

Date: 2019-04-15 12:55 am (UTC)From:Ravelry is where I've been spending my time instead of being here! I got deep in the Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup, completing things for invisible internet points. It was what I needed to get into the habit of FINISHING! Now I'm doing a fair bit of designing with the hope of selling the finished projects.
I love that find yarn people everywhere I go now, even the internet. It's this huge joke that if someone yarns, I will find them and make them yarn with me at a coffee shop.
