I wrote today. Honest to goodness words. Had to leave my house and go to the library but I wrote over 2000 words on my MBB fic. There is plot. There will have to be considerable rewriting to make some of the plot points work but I like it. I really like it. I've always liked this story idea and am writing it now "just because" since I didn't make the first draft date (although they tell me that right now I can still post the story sans any of the art the other stories are getting but I'm okay with that) but "just because" is good enough for me.

Then I went with my friend to see Inception. Without giving away any spoilers, it was a good movie! I'll probably see it a second time in the theater and I think I'll like it again.

And that Tom Hardy... Yum!


Ellen Page has the most interesting walk. I definitely like her with this long hair!


Do you think the top falls? I've got mixed feelings about that. Jury's still out.

I may be getting a haircut tomorrow. It depends if Lindsay gets home from her softball tournament or not. I'm going to need one soon but I'm back in the "looks good" phase so I'm not desperate yet. Thinking about going to weird color again but... that was difficult enough only having it for a week.

And now I shall go to bed and sleep the sleep of the just!

OPINIONS: listening to the sound effects... it definitely changed up as if it could. The sound is a better tease than the visual. I'd like to think it fell. But I'm incredibly glad they left it open ended. Rather than definitively showing that it didn't. I would have been okay if it had fallen.

But like Memento (have you seen that?)--it makes me wonder if the flashbacks to his WIFE were really him superimposing her wish on his own actions. But just like Memento--it's up to the audience to decide.

I've never seen Memento but I had a friend tell me about it in detail (cause I told him I wasn't going to watch it) and I see a lot of connections between the two.

Did you catch the exact repeat of some of his lines? I get the idea that we're supposed to think that the whole thing was a dream but the top falls over... but it's not his! He never tries out his totem! But that hitch in the turning of the top does seem like a give away but the fact that it started turning again with a good rhythm seemed like a contradiction.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to see again with a different friend so I'm going to watch with my eye on new references.
