At WorldCon, there was a panel about the possibility of a FEMALE DOCTOR and lizbee was there to give us the lowdown. I know it had been bandied about a bit but... this is the first time I've thought about it much.

Ideas! Ideas! Ideas!

I thought you might like to read through it for yourself. Just know that if you were, perchance, to write a Female!Doctor/River, I would want to be read it!

That was an interesting read. I just don't see it happening (yet). We went through the whole thing before Matt Smith. Older, Black, Female, Gay. Anything could happen!
And then we get the youngest ever doctor, and he's a white male.
And despite pansexual Harkness, I don't think they're ready to give us a female doctor while there's a female love interest on the scene. But maybe fandom can satisfy your Female!Dr/River fic :) If I ever come across any I'll be certain to bounce it your way.

I was thinking that it might be interesting for the female doctor to be the one who initially meets River. I think I'm talking myself into writing this story!

I'm the kind of viewer that will be excited about anything they choose. It's all about having something interesting and fun to watch. As long as they keep giving me that, I'm good!

All the talk about some of the previous companions and doctors makes me realize once again that I need to be watching something before 9!
