Guess who is a proud member of [livejournal.com profile] scifiland's Team AntiHero?

ME! Well, as soon as I get my invite to the team comm, that is.

Anyone want to make me a snazzy sigtag? *bats eyelashes*

I'm going to give some up at the break. Thinking seriously about giving up [livejournal.com profile] whedonland which would make me incredibly sad as I have all sorts of friends there but a lot of them seem to be leaving, too. My team is still wonderful but I don't feel that the community in general is as deserving of my loyalty.

I enjoy the challenges at [livejournal.com profile] themiddleearth but kinda feel like I'm floating off by myself. Part of the problem is that I don't really know anyone on my team and they don't do a lot of social things.

*sigh* [livejournal.com profile] castleland is going to go. I like the comm and I like my team but I have no muse where Castle is concerned. How sad is that?

[livejournal.com profile] leverageland is iffy at this point. [livejournal.com profile] inception_land looked to be dying but it was revived but I've had nothing good happen at that comm so I'm going to let them cut me. I was called "hon" by a 18 year old. It's just wrong.

Yayyy scifiland!
And also I so agree about inception_land, I didn't feel very happy there at all.

Which is soooo sad because it looked amazing! Hey, that's how we became friends! You commented to my thread on that! Well, something good happened.

I nearly left it the day before they started posting again. That wasn't well done but what do you expect from someone who hadn't, as far as I could tell, even been involved in a land comm before!

I think I did, I dunno I left it a while ago. But yeah, it was disappointing, it had a lot of potential because Inception=amazing. AND OH YEAH I knew that I couldn't remember if it was whedonland or inception_land, lol either way you're awesome! XD

Just gave you your invite! :D Welcome to the team! The good thing about scifiland is how all encompassing it is. Lots of fandoms to choose from!

Sweet! I'm glad to see that I know most of the names on the Bingo list!

Oh! And just as an FYI, if you want to, for your big bang you can just email Tash 7,5000 words of your syfy big bang (doesn't need to be a completed story) and that will count for your scifiland big bang.

OR if you do the fanvid, that can account for 35 points out of 100. So then you just need a word count worth 65 points of your syfy big bang. :D

OR you can just mix and match with whatever the hell you want, lol.

I was JUST looking at that post! Now to get work on that word count so I can get it in on time!

Whedonland is having a tough period for sure. I have thought about stepping down as mod of late and then of course leaving. Don't know. Not sure. I love Team Firefly. It's the only reason I stay at this point, but I'm bored with the comm as a whole and it really has shown in my modding of late. Of course I'm pulling back from landcomms in general. I barely do anything for any of them these days. I'm just wrapped up in my own little world at the moment.

UGH.

Land comms (and most comms in general) go through phases and I keep telling myself to hold out and maybe it'll get fun again because I would hate to miss out on the fun. I think I'm going to end up being a pain in the butt if I stay, though. It literally grind my teeth or roll my eyes when I look at the wording on some of the challenges. It might be all in my head but it's not going to be pretty if I stay.

Of course, everyone talks about [livejournal.com profile] scifiland like it's THE place to be these days. A good motto is: Always follow the fun and try not to be the drag!

It's good to be wrapped up in your own world every so often. As long as you don't alienate your friends, it's all good. The important thing is to do what is good for YOU.

And you bored as a mod is still THREE TIMES BETTER than most of the places I'm at! *g*

I keep thinking that as well. Also that my co mods will kill me because we'll they are fine being back up neither wants to be the main mod. But this is the first round I've had no desire to do the challenges. I'll likely decide soon as the round is almost over. And I'll talk to both of the other mods first too.

I love Team Anti hero, though it has a great deal to do with that the team is basically the people I talk to these days on twitter and whatnot. :P

I go through phases. Right now I'm liking my group very small and one talking to only a couple people really. Thing is a lot of people are doing this all at once. It's weird. Everyone is getting a new lj or twitter or whatever to cut back on people. I'm wondering if people's mood are rubbing off on one another or if like me and Lisa the end of JJverse followed by B-day week sucked all landcomm love out of us, haha.

And thanks!! I'm struggling these days, but try as much as I can.

You've done a great job modding the past year and a half (?); sometimes you need time for yourself or other things. I still love my team but I agree something seems to have happened during the second half of this last phase. Maybe it will get better next phase, but there's no reason for you to do something you're not enjoying anymore. You'd be missed, that's for sure, but it's understandable if you needed to step down or quit altogether.

Scifi land is fun :)

I always said I'd never leave Whedonland but I don't know what's happened the second half of this last phase. I'm not leaving, just hoping things will pick up again next phase - and with the promise it will even quieter I can't see there'll be much to do.

This is my first phase at castleland and season 2 is about to start airing here so my overall enthusiasm and inspiration is pretty high at the moment, but we'll see how it goes.

I can't join leverageland/caperland because I'm so far behind with the shows :(

Meantime I love my Team Cara at legendland plus I've got fantasyverse (but that's very slow/laidback). If I did drop one (perhaps take a phase off) I know I'd have time to do other things. I've got fic to read and write, Yuletide will be on us soon, and so on. But landcomms are where I found most of my LJ friends so I'm torn.

RE: being called 'hon'; it happened to me when I was part of merlin_land and it weirded me out slightly. It's not even something we generally use in the UK and I always imagine a thirties or older female Southerner using it affectionately to someone she's close to, or patronising to someone she's not...

Isn't it strange that I'd rather be called "kiddo" than "hon"? My friends all comment that "kiddo" is much more insulting but I can stand it more. Guess it's because I was the youngest for so long so I was "kiddo" and it was affectionate but "hon" is most always condescending. I don't know. Guess I should BUCK UP! *grins*

I've also found a lot of my current LJ friends on land comms so it's sad when I walk away from them. The crazy thing is that I feel more like a Land Comm "leaver" than an "addict" because I always keep them to about 3-4 at a time.

Oh well. It happens!
