Long Live Cold-Eeze!
Dec. 8th, 2008 05:05 pmI've got the crud. You know, the stuff that isn't a cold and isn't the flu and doesn't really have a name. It's in my throat but not really my head or my chest. I cough and I'm taking stuff to make it productive but the cough doesn't seem to be a big thing.
Since we're slow at work right now, I decided to stay home. Downloading some music and watching day time TV. I was a little disappointed in my selections today. I remember there being more on during the day but maybe I'm just delusional about past memories of TV.
I broke a cardinal book reading rule I have. It's not the first time I've broken it in the last 60 days but I wish I hadn't. I moved right from book 1 in a series to book 2. I should have known better! After the speed of the end of the first book, the slowness of the first part of book 2 is a disappointment. Same characters - you expect them to be moving just as fast. And there is always the inevitable "change" in characters that comes from a hiatus. It's not as noticeable when there is a break in the reading. Now it just irritates me! So I started another book. I think I've gotten to 125 books so far this year - so far away from the amount I wanted. Oh well!
It is time to color my hair once again. Don't want to be brassy for the inevitable Christmas pics but need to cover some gray. It's been nearly 3 months so it's time.
