There's the sun!
Jun. 7th, 2010 08:30 pmHave you ever made a gum chain? I've made miles of them but was never sure how to end them until I foundthis article. I think I'm going to find that box of papers I have and start them up again. I don't use gum wrappers anymore. I use magazine pages. They're glossy and last a little longer. Plus you can make them ANY color you can find!
Rory has discovered the kitchen windows. I had to show her where they were but now she's obsessed. A robin challenged her... like my little kitty is all mean from her perch behind the screen! *grins* I would take new pictures of her but my phone's camera is horrid. I can't get it to have a happy medium. Either too bright (so the pic is white) or too dark (and all black with a blend of grays) and it irritates me so I haven't spent a lot of time with it.
Since we didn't get the new Wash/Serenity comic in, I decided to order it online. If Buffy Season 8 wasn't ending soon, I would have started to buy those online. I do have to fill in some spots, though. Hate that the little old lady who stocks our comics (because she also stocks the magazines... that is the only reasoning they give me for her having the job) can't seem to understand that there is more to comics these days than Archie and Jughead. If any of you are missing any of your Sabrina the Teenage Witch or The Simpsons comics, you let me know. We probably have them. It kills me that she's misusing the space but I've tried talking to her and I can't get more backup than "Talk to her and see if she'll get the one you're looking for." The issue is not ONE episode. It's WHOLE LINES that we're missing. And then there's the issue of not having them for a period of three months because one of the store supervisors decided we shouldn't have comics because they showed scantily clad girls. I'm sorry... but all those girls have clothes on. More than the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated! That their clothes are really, really tight is another argument altogether!
