Who knew one question could define me so well!

You Are Unique

You are vibrant and excited for each day. You like to mix things up a lot.

You get bored easily, and you're always on the hunt for new experiences.

Your friends would describe you as playful and full of zest. You look forward to every event and occasion.

You are restless sometimes. You need a little adventure to satisfy your wanderlust.

-Do you have the Ovation channel? Did you know every night until the 19th they're playing different Broadway musicals? I'm watching Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat, a musical I've never seen all the way through. There are a lot of musicals I haven't seen but I know some of the music. I'm going to have to hang out here and change that. Of course, I haven't seen this from the beginning because I came in on the middle so here's hoping it's on again.

-I just finished The Thief Taker - Memoirs of a Bow Street Runner (first in the series) by T.F. Banks. It took me a bit to get into it but I really liked it. I've decided to go looking for the second in the series. This is a book that's been on my shelves for at least a year. One of my many random "I like that title" finds from paperbackswap.com. Next I'm going to read Imager by L. E. Modesitt, Jr. - I like the back copy: Although Rhennthyl is the son of a leading wool merchant, he has spent years becoming a journeyman painter. With his skill and diligence, Rhenn stands to be considered for the status of master artisan. Then his entire life is transformed when his master patron is killed in a flash fire, and Rhenn discovers he is an imager... one of the few in the entire world who can visualize things and make them real. He must leave his family and join the Collegium of Imagisle. Imagers live separately from the rest of society because of their abilities (they can do accidental magic even while asleep) and because they are both feared and vulnerable. In this new life, Rhenn discovers that all too many of the "truths" he knew were nothing of the sort. Every day bring a new threat to his life.

-I am eating the best cherries right now. They were $4.99/lb but so worth it.

-During the day, I keep my phone in my purse in the back room. When I take my breaks or eat lunch, I pull it out and use it to read the Tweets I get there as well as adding mine. Coworker has been using it TOO MUCH again and because of this, we all may have to keep our phones in our cars. This irritates the HECK out of me. Once again, my life is being shaped by HER and all because she can't follow yet another rule! Does this mean that instead of losing her to the back room every five minutes, we'll lose her for extended periods when she goes out to her car? I know I need to get past this and not let her bother me but she makes it so hard because every day is a new set of irritants.

-Random Nicolas Pic! ...with his Dad... ) Those cheeks are SO MUCH fun to play with. He is definitely not a little boy in danger of wasting away to nothing! It's funny to hear my sister ridicule him when he's fussing because he's hungry.

-I fear my Marauder Big Bang isn't going to be done by the time the rough draft needs to be turned in. They're a little short on artists so I'm hoping they'll let me forego this first deadline and just post it at the site at the end - sans art. I NEED the deadline but I'm having some trouble starting Act Two. I eeked out a thousand words in three days, kicking and screaming over every single one. This sort of exertion usually means that the words aren't the right ones. Here's hoping I can figure out the direction it's supposed to go in within the next couple of days. I KNOW where it's going but I'm having trouble figuring out what this transition needs to look like.

-And speaking of writing... my Keladra story is coming along famously IN MY HEAD. This is a good place for it to be because I've rounded off some edges while I've mulled over it during the last two weeks. I know all sorts of things now that I didn't know before. I'm just afraid that it'll never get to paper. I hold you (and you know who you all are) to reminding me to WRITE THE STORY. I NEED TO DO THIS! I do love shared universe writing but they can sometimes allow for procrastinating for people like me.

-Rory has taken one of the socks I took off when I got home from work and dragged it somewhere that isn't where it was. I think she found it funny that I only hollared after her, "Don't lose it." And speaking of Rory, I was awaken to little pats on my nose and the dog growling. It would have been nice if it was time to wake up. The "sisters" are getting used to each other and they've started to play more and more. This is EXACTLY what I wanted when I thought about getting a second pet. Spencer needs someone to play with her and get her off the couch. Now if they can get their momma off the computer now and then. *grins*

lar_laughs: (HP - see the sky)
Take a look at the following picture and give me "names" for each of the three pictured here. Which three HP characters do these three girls call up in your mind when you see it?

...get your thinking cap on... )

And... if the muse strikes you... give me a thought that one of them is having.

(I saw this picture earlier tonight and felt compelled to write about it. The only problem is that I can't narrow down three characters... and then I wondered who other people might think these ladies were and thought maybe I'd open it up for interpretation. I opened it up to the HP fandom because there are a lot of people to chose from. If you think of another fandom that it could work for, comment with it as well! I'll give it a try!)
