Yesterday, sis and I decided to head to Twin Falls (an hour away) to watch the new X-Men (second time for me, first for her). She offered to pay for my ticket if I drove. Seeing as I drive a tiny, tiny car and she drives a huge truck, it works out that she would have spent more on gas to get us there than I would so I was all for that. We get to the theater (which is older than the one we live closer to but has more screens) only to discover that they don't take credit cards. Sister only had her credit card because her debit card was in her pants pocket from yesterday. I didn't have enough in cash for both of us so I had to use my debit card in their little on-site ATM. I really, really hate using those things as they are a total rip off but oh well. I wanted to see the movie again.

You know how some theater popcorn is too buttery with butter added but too dry without any? That's what this was like. So it wasn't AS satisfying as it could have been.

Love the movie all over again although there are definitely parts where I was all "I LOVE THIS MOVIE!" and part where I was wishing they had the nice, new stadium seating (is that what you call it?) with the higher back chairs... like the kind we have at our local theater. It would have been nice to rest my head while I was trying to fight off sleep. Kind of amazing how boring the fighting sequences are when you only want the relationship stuff!

So, the whole reason we decided on Twin Falls was because my parents were also down there because my dad was officiating a wedding. We told them we'd meet them for dinner. They were at Perkins when we got out so we headed over there. Worst. Service. Ever! I asked for iced tea and got iced tea the first time but drank all of it (to the point where I was slurping up all the liquid I could from the ice because I was so thirsty) so the lady had nothing to go on when she FINALLY came back to our table so she brought me water. Could it have killed her to ask? I'm very picky about my liquid intake at restaurants. In fact, I do a lot of my tipping based on refills. Not that I want to inconvenience my server but I like to feel that I'm not being ignored. I tip nicely for regular service and HUGELY for excellent service so it's not like I"m asking too much. Just some notice from time to time.

And then the sandwich I ordered only had half the ingredients on it. I ate it without complaint but I still felt rather shafted. The only really good thing about the whole experience is getting to spend time with my sister which I don't get to do often enough.

Ugh. It is time to start exercising again. I'm feeling very lump-ish right now. Have all day. Didn't help that our morning was turned on its poor head because the computer guy who was SUPPOSED to call THIS AFTERNOON called about 15 minutes after I got there. I'm sort of expected to be the IT girl but H constantly undermines me. Not in a bad way, if there is a good way to be undermined. It's not that she's trying to discredit me. She just doesn't trust me. And then she gets all passive/aggressive about it, which only makes me bite my lower lip... which is a sign that I'm not happy. I think that's my only give away. I try to keep a serene look on my face but people always seem to figure out that I'm irritated. Oh well. It's not like I'm TRYING to hide it. I was thoroughly irritated. But it's all good now. I was able to leave for lunch with a good feeling. I accomplished something. Not anything earth shattering but it was enough to make everyone's day go a little smoother. My tuna sandwich was well-earned!

OOOOOH! I started reading Vampire Academy and I'm enjoying it! I like the characterizations so far and am enjoying the story. I think I've already figured out who the culprit is so we'll see if I'm right. I also bought a few new ebooks this weekend because they were 99 cents. Just can't be that!

And speaking of "chocolate in the backyard" (which is what Z calls it when we roast marshmallows at the fire pit... in the backyard), we tried using Chips Ahoy cookies in the place of graham crackers this time around. Very enjoyable! You don't even need the additional chocolate (although I did try that but it was just too chocolatey) which is nice because you don't have to balance quite so much!

This is an entry about the newest episode of Doctor Who. I plan on discussing spoilers so please don't look if you don't want to be spoiled.
