It's Saturday - Hooray!

I discovered that I CAN make wallpapers over the last couple of weeks. It used to get all distorted when I used the old way but now picnik is all nice and plays well with most everything. I got kind of crazy for the onceuponaland gift giving and did three here and then another one for the pinch hitting that isn't posted yet. I think that the one of Rue from Hunger Games is probably my favorite of them all. She was the one that I had to do the most work on to get everything else out of the way and I just LOVE how they positioned her head. So great! Slowly but surely, I'm getting to be pretty good at this graphic stuff, even though I still can't manip because I don't know how to do that just yet. And I'm kind of refusing to learn how to gif. Maybe one day when I have nothing to do.

Even though I know that sleep is very good for someone who is sick, I'm tired of going to sleep. Mostly because when I go to sleep, I'm nearly fine but then I wake up one step away from death again. It just kills me that I was getting better before I got that random 48 hour bug and now my body is doubly having to recuperate and I don't like it. I don't like it at all. Even the part about getting to stay home from work wasn't fun because I didn't have the energy to really do anything. The coughing and blowing my nose took all of that away. But I still have pudding left. There are a few up sides to all of this.

I'm reading Shiver (Book 1 of the Wolves of Mercy Falls) by Maggie Stiefvater. So good! I picked it up because I couldn't keep track of what was going on with The Girl Who Played with Fire and decided to pick that back up when I wasn't sick. This book is gorgeous and I'm so glad that I have the next one, as well. I like this version of werewolves very much.

I can't believe how many of the fests are finally coming to an end. It looks like I'm suddenly writing up a storm but most of this is the product of the last four months but I've had to sit on my hands. I think this is one of the reasons for me not wanting to join a bunch of stuff this year and just write. While fests get me readers, they make me testy because I want people to see it all NOW. I'm very impatient that way. That and I have a lot of ideas in my head that I want to write that may not fall in line with certain fests or big bangs. There are certain ones that I will DEFINITELY do this year but I'm going to try to keep myself away from anything that takes my attention away for too long.

fandom_stocking is live which means I've gotten some beautiful gifts AND I get to share the stories I wrote. I swear, it looks like I suddenly decided I needed to write, or something!

The Moment (Tori/Andre) written for gloriafan. I've played around with Victorious fic for awhile but have never gotten anything completed so it was nice to have a good excuse to write something. Yes, I'm a closet Victorious fan. I have a special love for all things Jade/Beck but like to think that, much later in life, Jade and Tori get together.

Part of the Team (Eliot/Hardison/Parker) written for cashay. There was mention of a College AU in the listing and I got the most incredible picture of Parker trying to blend in while hiding out in a college computer lab. This is what happened! I didn't used to understand AUs but now I'm starting to see the loveliness of them. This was so much fun to write. I need to write more Leverage stories!

And I got lovely gifts from all sorts of people! It's so lovely!

Plus, I have FOUR stories on the sga_newsletter tonight! *dances around the room* I posted some of my Ronon stories around LJ today instead of actually doing any new writing. Well, I did some but it wasn't very fruitful and I got rid of nearly half of the word count.
