I'm over being sick but sick isn't over infesting me

This morning I decided I would try getting dressed so I could go to the store and get some food. I'm running out of, not only sick foods, but non-sick foods. I also needed to stop on the three block trip there for some gas. It went well but I was a bit shaky when I finally got home. Popped some meds (which I was also running out of) and took a nap. Woke up and ate some ravioli out of a can. Decided that maybe eating non-sick food wasn't quite the thing I needed to be doing. Lay down for a bit longer which helped.

Now I'm back at the computer and I feel better but I'm still so tired and I'm worried about having to go to work tomorrow. I almost feel like, if I'm this sick, that I need to go to the doctor but I can't imagine he could do anything for me. It's a cold and I'm run down from the extreme pressure at work and having to take on so many of the hours what with B's paperwork not getting to the state in enough time for her certificate to renew. These are the times that I wish that I was wealthy so I could sit on the couch and eat pudding while watching SGA ALL THE TIME. I'm reading sg_flyboys fest fics and am so very, very happy.

Have you heard the Taylor Swift/The Civil Wars song on the Hunger Games soundtrack? I just bought it. It's LOVELY! Also the new Snow Patrol single which is still VERY Snow Patrol but different in a subtle way that I can't figure out yet.

I need to go back to reading because I feel slightly bereft not having John and Cam scenes running through my mind. I need to post mine here but need to upload it to AO3 first.

First things first

I'm here now. Not full-time. Barely even staying around long enough to keep the electricity on. That will probably change, though. Might as well get a residence set up here for what will surely be the roll over from LJ to Dreamwidth in the inevitable war.

When I have the time and energy, I will make it pretty around here and learn my way around. Maybe get a plant or two.

Switching things up

Finally caved and got an ACTUAL account at Dreamwidth instead of cheating using the Open ID which always made me a bit growly. I'm lar_laughs over there, as well. One day I fully intend to get it all pretty and a bit fuller as it is a bit paltry right now. I'm there, though. I'll try to start checking out how I can get more involved there. It looks inevitable that things will start shifting over there more and more, especially in the wake of LJ not really caring what people have to say. That bothers me. Not that I have a lot to say but I'm not the kind of person to have a lot to say. That's what I have friends for! Of course, if it sounded like it would benefit anything for me to voice my opinion, I would but they don't seem to care. Sad since I've paid them a lot of money over the years. In one name or another, I've been here since the early 2000s and I like it here. More or less.

Sooo... all that to say, if you're there, friend me and I'll friend you back and maybe we can chat there now and then. I could probably start cross-posting my stories but mostly that depends on where I spend most of my time. We shall see what the future brings.
