RECIPE #3
Jicama Salad

You just can't go wrong with a good jicama. Let me tell you that you need to find a GOOD ONE, though. I was lucky enough to go by the produce department in the afternoon (even though I'd gone through in the morning) and discover a new batch of jicamas with smooth, tan skin and little defect. Those are the ones to get!
I found this recipe at Simply Recipes.

There is something you should know about me right up front. I don't eat onions. Any sort of onions. So I didn't put any onions in but I did put a tiny bit of onion salt in so I only used a little tiny bit of regular salt. I forgot to pick up a avocado *weeps* but it would have been a nice addition. Since I will probably be taking this to work with me tomorrow for lunch, I'll grab one then and add it. I think that would be delightful! I also added the tiniest splash of red wine vinegar.
And now...
RECIPE #4
Jicama Sticks

Super good and easy as... well, Jicama Sticks!
Some other recipes I would recommend:
Jicama Salad with Cilantro and Lime - Can you guess what's in this? Oh, I think you can.
Jicama Salad with Cucumer and Lime - Once again, name the ingredients in this recipe.
If you haven't tried jicama, give it a try. I adore it!
