You don't need to worry - it's only Thursday

Today, I had such cool stuff in the mail! Ticket to Ride came and Mom agreed to play it with me. I think we could get very competitive with that game! It's every bit as much fun in RL as it is on my iPod.

Also, got the last of the auctions I've won on Tophatter recently (lot of 50 gears). Beth and I have been talking about all the things we could put on there. She sold two necklaces this weekend and sold two more at her Etsy site so we're SUPER EXCITED! I would totally share that link here but... I'm sad to say that I'm not exactly sure how to get there without going to Tophatter first and... well, I won't let myself go on it until the weekend. I can't afford to keep spending money like this!

Also, she gushed over Dead is All Relative which made me happy because it meant that my retelling of it was as every bit as good as her actual reading it. Her favorite line, and one that she just repeats at random times during the day because it strikes a fancy inside her to say it out loud is Is it a lie when it’s the truth at the moment? I must admit, it's one of my favorite, too.

I'm working on a sequel to this story. It's hard to be well-received when (1) it's hard to categorize and (2) it's a crossover. Still, I like the story and I like the concept and I think I've got other stories in me in this 'verse. I don't want it to get in the way of Streetlight People but it's always nice to have a few stories around to write when the muse isn't cooperating.

So far, I'm very happy with how well the muse is cooperating for Camp NaNo Week One. It was a little rough going typing on a different computer at a different desk... in a different house, for that matter, but I got through it. I don't think I wrote nearly as much as I could have only because it was at an odd angle that was making my elbow hurt. It hasn't done that in a really long time!

Incidently, I'm more than a little in love with One Direction right now. I just want to squeeze Harry's cheek and pat his hair into place. And I have to give Louis mad props for making suspenders look damn sexy! I sort of glutted on all the YouTube videos of their new stuff as well as their 2010 appearance on X-Factor.
