Today was win number 4 for me at Ticket to Ride. Mom and Mandie and I played and I won once and Mandie (with "this nurse has been up 24 hours" brain, no less) won once. Mom is still at one win while this puts me up 2 wins in the family feud. I really should make some sort of spreadsheet documenting this! *cackles with glee*

Tonight's chores that I found needed to be done before writing:

Playing Ticket to Ride
Cutting rhubarb up for Mom to make rhubarb cake
Facebook games
Walking for 40 minutes on the treadmill

Yes, it's true. I exercised instead of writing. Only during NaNo, I tell you. It's for a good cause, though. I'm doing the Relay for Life at the end of July and must be in some semblance of shape. Or, barring a miracle (as getting in shape in six weeks... or six months would be a miracle), at least where I can walk for a vast quantity of time. I'm not going for speed or distance here, that's for sure. I'm such a fast walker that I spent a lot of the time reminding myself to slow down. I listened to an audiobook and think I will get myself a special one just for the walk. What I'm listening to now are audiobooks that I've either already listened to or already read. Mostly, it's the Mary Russell series by Laurie R. King because they're read by Jenny Stirlen and she's WONDERFUL! The combination is fantastic.

Okay, I must try for a semblence of words tonight.

OH! I asked Mandie how she liked the Leverage/Avengers story as I've been sending her some Avengers fanfic, including my own. Big deal as I don't share my fanfic with family. She stopped walking up the stairs, turned to me and said, "Yeah, it was good. What's the next part about?"

Surprised? No, not me. I wasn't surprised. I was flabbergasted! My sister smiled at me with a real smile (which we don't see much of when Mandie is working on little to no sleep after a full week of work) and said she liked it! Normally, the sisters treat any of my writing as cause for slight sarcasm (of which I reciprocate so don't feel bad for me... it's toughening up my skin!) so to get a spot of joy was clearly not what I figured I'd get.

The next part? Oh, yeah. It must be written now!
