I've been writing a Clint/Natasha scene this weekend. Today, I've been reading between the writing and the book I've chosen is HEARTBREAKING and melodramatic and just the slightest bit bent at the seams. So what do I start writing? Heartbreaking melodrama that is the slightest bit bent.

After I realized the scene was getting away from me, I found the spot where things had turned (it all hinged on a response to a question so it was easy enough to find) and began again. I'm keeping the other stuff because it was still good melodrama and could be useful. It's being stored in a file called "untitled Clint/Natasha melodramatic goodness" until I can find some use for it.

Two good things came out of the [livejournal.com profile] be_compromised conversation yesterday.

The first one is the realization that Christine Everhart makes a really good addition to the current Avenger character list. Granted, her movie job is MUCH cooler than her comic job. But that shouldn't keep her off the list of possibilities for development. I don't know what I'm going to do with her but I want to do something.

The second one is the whole thing about Clint's car. The little drabble I posted yesterday with the picture was written for the conversation, as was the head canon for how Clint got his car. Aster and I discussed it some more and I've started the story of a boy and his car.

Okay, I'm off to get something to drink (it's hot here but not as hot as it is some places... I just wish I had something more than a fan and ice to keep my cool!) and then start edits on the first story I mentioned. I'm hoping to have it up tonight. Depends on how badly I switched my tenses!

Oh, I forgot to tell you something!

Last week(ish), I joined an icon making challenge community - [livejournal.com profile] comicfilmstills. That is very, very odd for me but I've been back to dabbling in icons now that I'm having to try out new photo manipulating sites (I miss you, Picnik!) so I thought I would give it a chance. I'm still complete crap but I love it and it's sort of relaxing and it gets me into a different sort of creativity.

Anyway, last week's offerings are - the activity was making them a single color:
red green
yellow blue
indigo violet

And then I hosted an Icon Making thing at [livejournal.com profile] sgc_social where I created these:

The second of my stories inspired by lettiebobettie art work and the companion piece to New Mexico State of Mind.

EDIT: A THOUSAND HITS! A THOUSAND HITS! A THOUSAND HITS! *dances around the room* I was thirty hits away when I posted this. Fifteen minutes made up that difference and now I'm at a even thousand! *goes off to celebrate with s'mores*
