...chelsea hotel no. 2...
Jul. 14th, 2012 11:09 pmI've been reading stuff from Comic Con, mostly on the places that I have friended on Facebook. Will eventually get around to all the big stuff.
In the meantime, this gif set on Tumblr (found via
inkvoices) is cracking me up. I have no idea if it's a spoiler for MI4 (which I haven't seen but may break my "Nope, I'm not giving Tom Cruise any more of my money" silence to watch it) but it's just funny. In and of itself!
Tumblr seems to be the go to place for all things Jeremy. Makes me want to do something with my Tumblr besides just letting it sort of gather dust between all the little gee-gaws I throw up on it from time to time. I did try posting a link to one of my stories there, just to see what would happen. Without being completely sure, I do think it generated traffic.
Okay, I have a confession. In the last few years, say ten or so, I've been very anti-RPF. Mostly because I see people putting "real people" into AU situations which, to me, makes it an original. And because it's an original, it should not be a hey, look what I have these two movie stars doing! they're bakers! but be an original. You know?
But I got kind of caught up in a pairing when I was watching Farscape (I'll let you figure out who I ship as a real life couple even if they aren't and never will be and it's just me dreaming) and I read all the stuff on AO3 I could find about them. That was about it. End of story. But if opened up a little part of me that was okay with RPF.
Then I saw this picture today and sort of fell apart with feelings. Hands! Smile! The obvious whisper! And I... I... I started an RPF. I feel better about myself only because the two of them don't seem to be dating anyone at the present. Like it would matter. Of course, I haven't put names into the fic. So far it's just him and her and I could change them and have it be an original about two movie stars doing movie star things. We'll see how it sets tomorrow.
They're just so darn cute!
Are they dating anyone?
No, it doesn't matter.
A reverse Whedon! The funny thing is that I can see Mal saying that. The whole blog that this is attached to is HILARIOUS! I've pinned I don't know how many things tonight.
I swear, the people who follow my Pinterest board who aren't "geeks" must hate me. It's 95% Avengers right now. 3% other super heroes stuff. 1% recipes. 0.5% pretty pictures. 0.5% stuff to make. But if I can change just one life by having them fall in love with the Avengers, I've done my duty for the cause!
Is that all? I think that's all. I'll let you know if it isn't.
