Google has done some good this morning. It forced me to do the Drive thing and I did, with a forced smile on my face, but went about setting things right once again. It's the same thing it was before... I don't know why they changed it. I see the list by whatever I've edited last instead of alphabetical because otherwise it's a useless tool for me. But seeing things alphabetical drew me to some files from a year or two ago with stories that I'd posted to LJ but not to AO3. What a wonderful thing to find long lost friends and get to put them up on the shelf where they belong!

Also got to see Revolution last night on the TV because Dad was too lazy to change the channel and I stuck around downstairs at that computer instead of running up to my room. I liked it! I figured I would. They would have had to been sitting around a campfire for an hour for me not to like it. It's not my parents' cup of tea but I knew it wouldn't be so I'm not surprised.

I love podcasts! One of my favorites is The Nerdist (I get concerned when I haven't updated my iPod in awhile and there are only a few left to listen to - it's the same concern I get when it's time to get new books because I've "read too many"), but I love several other types and genres of podcast. They're such a great distraction when I'm driving everyday (45 minute commute both ways).

Lately, I've been listening to Books and Nachos, a discussion of books (their tagline is: fiction and nonfiction, graphic novels and more) that really has me riveted. Today, I listened to their interview with David Morrell, maybe most commonly known for writing Rambo: First Blood. Did you know there was a novel before the movie? And did you know he wrote the Captain America book, "The Chosen" in 2008? I've got his ebook "The Brotherhood of the Rose" in my Amazon queue now because I was so intrigued by his interview. The Association of Intelligence Officers (did you know that spies have an association) made him a lifetime member because they like the fact that he writes their profession realistically.

Did you know that you can now buy a Kindle ebook... and then add on the "read narration" so that you can read the book or listen to it? I think I love that. An ebook costs $5.99 to $7.99 and then you add on $3.99 for the narration. That's about $10 less than the typical audiobook!

Yes, this is all I opened this window for.
