I was running a slight fever last night but it was no big deal at the time other than a clue that I might be under more stress than normal which might explain the slight dip I've had in both creativity and, you know, life. Instead of going to bed at a normal time, I made the mistake of staying up later than usual and BAM! My fever broke which seemed to open a tidal wave of an allergy attack. It was so late that I didn't dare take any benadryl because I'm the sort of person that falls asleep just talking about antihistamines. That was sort of a mistake because I didn't sleep more than a couple of hours and when I did finally sleep, I woke up with slits for eyes. So I called in and took the medicine and tried to sleep for the day. This was made difficult by my dog who was on uber-alert and barked at EVERYTHING. Grrrr....
This has been a very dreary spring in our neck of the woods. The weather can't decide if it's going to snow or be warmish so it's doing that thing where it does both at different times of the day. Yesterday, it snowed until lunch time and then it was warm. In fact, it was warmer when I left work than it was when I ate lunch. Today there was beautiful sunlight all morning and now it's cloudy and the wind has picked up. I really don't like to be mocked by the weather, only because it's spring and I never know if it's just joking about the warmth and we get a butt load of snow to usher in April. March did come in like a lamb, after all.
Just finished washing the dishes and watching the Littles next door playing baseball. Their puppy was getting into the action and turning into a fairly decent outfielder. The only really funny thing is that they aren't playing in the yard itself but on the rocky driveway. Their parents haven't been able to get any grass to grow so it's very muddy in the yard. I love watching them trying to take a circular game and making it into a thin rectangle.
Since the girls at work have been watching The Voice, I've been watching some of the clips of the better auditions. This could turn into a really good season (do they call it that when they have two sessions a year now?) of that show!
Okay, I think I need to do more reclining.
