My cat is a DEMON who is obviously in heat. Thankfully they can get me in during next weeks rotations at the vet. She sat next to me on the couch last night and PANTED. You know the LOLZ catz that are "smiling"? That's what she looked like! It was freaky and funny all at the same time. She has to spend the night in her own room right now just so I can get some sleep (and it's been good sleep so HOORAY!) and I've considered leaving her in there while I'm at work because she's been making a mess with things that she left alone before this. The bathroom mat is NEVER flat and she mauled a perfectly good spare toilet paper roll the other day. She knocked down my old purse and at at the gum that was there (but never got to it - the paper container is no good, though).
My sister got the Disneyland tickets today! This is our first "big girl" vacation! We're going to Phoenix to see a bunch of her friends and then over to CA for some fun with Mickey! I'm actually really looking forward to it because when my sister and I have fun, we have FUN. I'm enjoying being a grown up with her! We were terrible teenagers.
I haven't done this in a while so...
10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Everything from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!
I like to put characters in peril but not because I'm being mean but because the best stuff happens to them when they're in peril. Their character changes so wonderfully when in peril. I also like to put human characters up next to fantasy characters. A normal teenage girl who has a dog as a friend... but the dog talks. Fae who mingle with humans on a regular basis and everyone is okay with it. I guess I'm hoping that it could really happen and one of YOU is supernatural or paranormal. That would be GREAT! Just don't eat me.
That's not strange but... it'll have to do.
11. Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?
I'm crap at being silent and attentive but I love writing those sorts of characters. It's fun to see WHY they're silent because I'm scared of quiet people. Many of my favorite RP characters to play are the tall, dark and silent. Right now there's Cam who lets his anger show but spend a lot of time all angsty inside. He's let people see it which is always a conundrum because he may seem like a pansy character because you see him being angsty but it's only with THOSE few characters and those are the characters that he's interacting with at the moment. It's fun to play around with.
In original writing, I also like writing BAMF women. They don't wait around for anyone to help them. They do it themselves!
My least favorite are the characters that quit talking to me. I've thought I had a good character and then all of a sudden they don't have anything to say. If you don't interact with me, I can't write you! There's not really a personality that I don't like to write... although writing romance for the sake of romance is irritating to me.
12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of worldbuilding? Any side-notes on it you'd like to share?
My Allen Stories have A TON of world-building. Some of it I thought out on paper but most of it I just discovered as I was writing. When I picked up the idea again for the graphic novel that I worked on during 2008 Script Frenzy (the Script version of NaNo in April), I realized that there was a ton of world building because I could still "see" the world and I had very little problem remembering the "hows" and "whys" of the world. It's the one story that I think has a real chance of someday making it to print.
I like the idea of magic being all around us. I'm also trying to set things closer to where I live because I adore this part of the country (even if I growl a lot during the winter) and this was a bit closer. It's set in a city that I used for a previous story (because I like the name) but is more like Portland than anywhere in Idaho. One of these days I'm going to get magic into Idaho.

I will make the push this year! :D Then I will try to play around and see what if I can ever figure out the mergy thing. Until then, I may just start playing at the place where you've been learning!
