Such a nice dinner

Tonight I went out to dinner with the three other girls that I work with. Really, I should call them "women" as I'm the youngest in the group but we are very much girls! I love these ladies so much! They are the sort of people that I work with all day long but I still don't mind seeing them after my 8 hours.

We talk about everything under the sun. They know all about my family and hear all my fun "niece/nephew" stories and know alllll about you people on the internet! *grins* But they don't know everything and we came very close to a conversation tonight that I haven't been able to have with them. Or anyone. Ever.

And I wasn't scared. If it had happened, I would have participated. I think I know the answer to the questions and these are people I would talk to about it.

But we didn't so I didn't and I doubt it comes up again but if it does, I wonder if I'll say something.

And in other news, Girl Scout cookies are almost ready to be ordered here. Mmmmmm...

I'm glad you can call your coworkers friends, it sounds great.

what don't they know about you? that you read/write fanfiction? I've outed myself a couple of times to real life people. to some a bit, to some more... rarely owning to the gay porn thing upfront, but sometimes. It's funny how people react, though it's generally more curiosity than anything.

and who knows, maybe one of those persons is a fangirl too ;)

Actually, just about everyone who knows me knows that I write fanfiction. I don't think they all understand what fanfiction is, though. My co-workers (dear girls) have to put up with me talking about my stories constantly. I've had them read some of them (if they know that fandom) because I like to have a second pair of eyes.

No, this is something... more. It's something I've been mulling over for a time.
