Happy Fourth of July

This weekend has been marvelous! I've spent a lot of time outside but, this time, it was in the shade and it was only with family so it wasn't about socialization. It was about fun! My sister has been playing Rummikub on Facebook so we dragged out our old set and played a thousand games.

Nic (my nephew) is walking pretty much all the time now and, while he's not talking much, he's finding other ways of making himself understood. The kid has his Gramma and Papa wrapped around his little finger. Imagine that.

I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow. Mom's talking about going to some of the antique fairs and I don't care about that as long as we don't have to go to the parade. Too many people in that town right now!!!!

Aw, go Nic! Kids have a way with adults. Even the roughest man can be reduced to a submissive heap before his little daughter. The wonders of the human nature, eh? And it's good that you're having fun! :D

I can't wait for him to get past the "UNH, UNH" stage and get to the talking but right now, he is ADORABLE!

Good for you! :D I'm not so into kids, so I can't really say. If the kid's obedient (I seem to be victim for nasty little devils) then I'm all for him/her.

Yep! I did have a blast lazing around the house, being a couch potato, and taking the dog out. <3 And Happy Fourth of July! How was your weekend?

It was nice enough that I don't really want to go back to work tomorrow. :( But, like my brother-in-law pointed out today, the best thing about 3 day weekends is the fact that there are only 4 days in the rest of the work day.

Today was nice because 1) I finally got around to shopping for much needed lunch foods, 2) I bought a pretty necklace at the antique fair and 3) I now get to spend a quiet (yet hot) evening alone. What a way to end a long weekend!

excellent! well for me it was the end of the vacations (started back at work today), but I really enjoyed the weekend. lots of hot tub, lazing in the sun, writing porn and even a supper at the restaurant with a mean pecan pie!
