New nephew is ADORABLE. And SMALL. So small you barely know you're holding him. And Nic is having fun showing everyone his brother's eyes but that's about it. I think that Nic is just starting to figure out that things have changed at his house. Things that may or may not be that great for him. So far he's has his Gramma there with him but we're heading home later this afternoon and Mandie will have to go back to work and it'll just be Nic and Wills and only one Mama. Oh, this is going to be fun.
Been contemplating what I want to do for NaNo. I know what I've said I'm going to do and what has been planned out for me to do but that is never what I actually DO. Another problem is that Consumed by Fire still has to WORDS. I wrote and wrote and wrote but that only furthered the reality that the story isn't READY yet. The words I wrote aren't the right ones. It's in my head. I have everything but, predictably, the hook. I can't seem to get the words on paper.
Oh, yes. I remember this. The old "Two Days Before NaNo" meltdown. The "I Have Fifteen Days Until A Challenge" whine. I've got fandom stuff to do that is exciting me more than my original stuff.
And I decided to come see my nephew instead of quietly melting down alone. *sigh*
