First, I went art!stalking this morning and came across this picture of John with a sword. Not just any sword but medieval John with a medieval sword in a church setting of some kind. Or maybe just one of those fantastic old houses made out of thick cut stone.
Second, I thought about said photo ALL DAY LONG. This is a good thing because I think I've actually been a nicer person at work when I have fanfictiony things to think about. Sad, I know. But still, I came up with this idea that I wanted to write a story based on this story.
Third, I was suddenly made aware that my story was VERY MUCH like Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves but without the Robin Hood part. John + sword > Kevin Costner + TEH HAIR O' DOOM + accent to end all accents. I do not want a RH:PoT remake so I will have to come up with something else.
Fourth, guess what I'm watching at this very minute? Yep, RH:PoT is on BBCAmerica! Coincidence? I think not. I think the universe wants me to write a story with John and a sword in a church or house made out of thick stone with pretty, pretty windows. Anyone have any good ideas?
As I'm going through some of these journals, I'm utilizing tags to find the stuff I want and it makes me realize that I'm quite the failure when it comes to tags. I mean, I tag but not well. And not always.
Reading SGA fanfic that was written in 2006 makes me wish that I'd been in the fandom then. I wonder what my life would have been like if I'd shaken off Harry Potter sooner than I did. Would I have been so besotted with Ronon? He's the reason I got into the series, after all. Yes, John Sheppard is cool but Ronon Dex will always have my heart.
ALSO ... I watched the season finale of Leverage and I think Alec should get to keep the bat cave. Will have to write fic for him so he can have some fun before they finally get rid of it.
ALSO ... the spoilers are out for the upcoming OUaT and there is A LOT OF GOOD THINGS in store for Ruby. And there are newer pictures!!!!!
