My last post was a downer. This one won't be.
I don't know if I've talked much about the fact that I'm doing Camp NaNo... both of them. There doesn't seem to be one single month that everyone at
5_prompts wanted to do so I'm going to offer something both months.
But I need to get back into writing every day so I want to write every day in May. I have a couple of ideas. Like a calendar type thing or a graph type thing or just a list of prompts. Here is my first idea - it's a calendar type thing that I'm going to fill with different prompts. I made it BIG so that I can put it up on my screen and see if every time I'm at my computer.
Do any of you have any cool prompt ideas (written only because pics won't work in this format) that you'd like to contribute? I'd love to be able to put them up on the calendar thing. Also, if you have any ideas or have done a 30-things month-long writing something or other, please let me know!
I've been listening to some of the Books on the Nightstand podcast and they mentioned inmybook.com because they have these cool cards/bookmarks. Check it out!
Also, do any of you listen to podcasts? I'm sort of addicted to them right now and would love to find some new ones. I listen to The Nerdist Podcast, Books on the Nightstand, Doctor Who: Radio Free Skaro, Literary Disco, Nerdist Writer's Panel, Friday Night Comedy from BBC Radio 4, and Mike and Tom Eat Snacks.

Date: 2012-05-02 02:36 am (UTC)From:Also, never keep an idea for NaNo. I don't care what they say about not starting it because that's crap. I've lost more ideas than I care to count because I "waited" and then lost the idea or the momentum or whatever. Don't wait! Start now with "world building" (whatever that might mean to you) and don't let those silly "rules" get in your way. If writing followed rules, we'd all have finished our first novel in junior high (right after learned the rules).

BUT YES. LET US CABIN TOGETHER. I don't exactly know how to do that... this is my first year doing Camp Nano. My name on there is: irishgirl982. Here's a link to my novel: http://campnanowrimo.org/campers/irishgirl982/novels/so-you-saw-something if that helps.
Oh wait, I just went on there and I found where I can add names. Let me know your name! LOL
