I'm a bit upset with Pixie (my Acer Aspire laptop) this morning. No, I take that back. I'm A LOT upset with the people who constructed her. Her speaker system thingymabob is going out AGAIN. I got her the first of DECEMBER and she's already been to the doctor ONCE for this problem. While it was fixed without charge (other than the shipping) I don't feel like going through this every couple of months! Am wondering if I should go have the Geek Squad look at her to see if this is something I can have fixed locally or even do myself (I know - that option probably won't work).
Cranked out nearly 3000 words of fic yesterday for a pinch hit gift giving thing. Need to reread it this morning to make sure I didn't miss anything. It looked okay last night as I closed the document but who knows what I wasn't seeing at 11pm! *grins* That was in addition to the stuff I wrote with Aster which is turning out rather well, if I do say so myself. We've done 13 chapters, most of which are around 8000 words each. This week I'm going to work on more drabbles for the Birthday Celebration over at
whedonland because that places ROCKS and I just love getting to write things for people. Not everyone has asked for drabbles but I'm going to try to get something to everyone who asked for one. *shrugs* It's the only skill I have these days... although I did try my hand at a color bar that was interesting and enjoyable. I had to work with a lot of work-arounds that made me irritable but I still got a pretty decent result. My icons skillz have sadly been cut down to nothing thanks to the sad lack of software these days. There are so many great icon makers out there that I don't feel so bad about this. And when I've asked around for a specific icon - POOF! There it is. So I'm not crying at all. The drabbles keep my busy enough!
Reading TV Guide instead of writing. This thing is like crack for me. I can't get enough of it. They made me so sad when they went to a "every other week" format. I have to WAIT for my TV Guide? What???? I could read it online but it's not the same thing. I even like the ads. Crazy, I know.
Without this copy of TV Guide, for instance, I never would have know that the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie is premiering August 28. So... this Friday. I wonder if I can bribe my dad to let me have control of the remote? $20, you think? He isn't working these days so it would mean he could have a milkshake or two down at the cafe! *grins*
And Glee premieres September 16th! Very much looking forward to that!
Okay, enough rambling. Go about your day.
