Does anyone need an invite because I think I might have one. Will have to check for sure.

I've been on DW for awhile now but will probably be better about using it. I don't like the mobile LJ app but can't look at my friends page in the new format (actually impossible to read) so need to figure something else out.

I'm not on dreamwidth and I don't plan on moving anywhere. I'm hoping that either LJ will listen to the rants about the f-list page and not do it, or make it alterable, or that it won't mess with my internet connection. I'm hoping that the paid account removal either doesn't go ahead, or doesn't mean I have to have adverts or lose my icon space. If my hopes are dashed, I'll have to have a rethink, but I don't want to move. I love my friends and comms here, I'm happy with how I can code my own journal, I have graphics saved to scrapbook, and I like my icon space. I'm a home bird in 'wait and see' mode. They'll have to seriously damage the tree before I go looking for a new desk *shrugs*.

But LJ never listens. I've been here since 2003 (about the same time that I discovered the internet) and they keep trying to make it better. We always make it work.

I'm really irritated about the paid time thing. I've given them my money because I like to put my money where my love is but I feel like they don't care. Like it's not good enough any more.

It's not like I'm jumping ship right now. I mostly asked to see how many of my friends were thinking of changing over. Obviously not very many! Also, I wanted to see if anyone had found anywhere else other than DW to hang around. I always like to try out the "new and shiny" places. You never know what gems you will find!

AO3 isn't really a blog/community, though. It's just a really good idea for fic storage. I was trying to see if anyone had found a "new and shiny" blog sort of place. I like "new and shiny"!!!!

DW doesn't need invites, and hasn't since last year.

I'm already on DW, and crossposting over, so not leaving LJ until they force me. But given how much they love a) setting off my migraines, and b) their new flist is going to eat up my incredibly slow, expensive internet (IF it doesn't make it crash), we'll have to see on that. But, the comment-pages (which sent at least one person to hospital) was one of the last straws (and gosh I'm sick of being told my anger is an overreaction - thanks, I wasn't aware that I should just sit down and shut up when a website I used to love causes me actual physical harm and they blatantly do not give a shit and keeping thinking up new ways for me to spend hours trying not to even move my eyes *fumes*)

I'd say LJ was setting itself up for a disability discrimination lawsuit, but not sure how that'd work with a website that is now owned in Russia

It's been a long time since LJ has given a shit what people think. I hated the Facebook changes but I never voiced my opinion about it because I don't really care. I do care about LJ changes and I've voiced my opinion in the past but it never matters and that makes me angry because I CARE! I want my voice heard but I feel like I'm shouting into an empty room.

Mostly, though, I was just taking a sort of poll to see where my Flist was at. Guess they're mostly staying here.

I'm going to try to be better about being on DW.

I've been on LJ a long time, too. It'll be ten years, come spring. My, how time flies! I'll be sticking around but I'm not giving them any more of my money. And I'm not going to rant and rave and make myself sick over this because they can't have my time, either!

No, we complained about it long before it became a Russian company. I just wish that they would LISTEN to their users. If I have to listen to customers all day and pretend like I care, the least they could is act like they're listening!

Also, I've been having problems with LJ on and off for the past 2 years or so, and the final straw for not having a backup blog was last year when Vladimir Putin's cretins were DDoS attacking the servers.

It's been not loading correctly again for about 3 weeks, so... yeah.

You know, if more communities would at least have a mirror over on DW (which is possible because I checked it out for 5_prompts), I think it would be a lot easier for other people to move over to DW. But it's more work.

I have a DW account but I don't currently use it. I'll start using it if everything on LJ completely goes to hell, but as of now, I guess I'm staying at LJ :/

I have a DW account under the same name, although I haven't used it at all. I have a permanent account, and they've clarified and said that those aren't going anywhere... if they change the paid account structure, those of us with perm accounts are going to be grandfathered in (at least, that's what they're saying now). I can probably deal with the new f-list page, although I'm not happy about my customizations being taken away.

I don't like the width of the friends page because that is why I can't use the regular version of my phone and I prefer that over the mobile version. I'll believe the other stuff when I see it but I don't like this current bug.

I'm both places and will probably stay both places. Just getting a lay of the land, as it were!

I'm not leaving. Just taking the temperature of my Friends List. Many of them are angry about the new changes that are coming. I'm not a huge fan of the drama that each of the changes brings.
