Hmmm. Well I'll just do what I keep doing with the comics... only noticing the bits I like and ignoring the rest. Buffy's a tv show so comics = not canon. (Xander/Dawn though are an awesome ship and I'm keeping that bit).

I just like the chance to see all the way into Joss' head. He's been able to pull off some great stuff with the comics that he couldn't have done on TV. Of course, I haven't liked all those things either. It's been a fun ride, though.

I think my main problem is that I'm not a comics person. I find some times I'm not sure who the person speaking is (Andrew in particular doesn't look particularly like anyone a lot of the time and I end up having to wait for another character to identify him). I feel no emotional connection to a bunch of drawings where with actual actors on a screen (even when the dialogue is a bit shoddy or the effects are dodgy or what have you) I'm very quickly interested in what's happenning. Also, I once worked out how much their projected number of comics for season 8 would be in terms of money and it was so much money that I actually feel a little bit resentful towards it. Its more than I would pay for a DVD, hell you can get the entirity of BTVS s1-7 for double that price, for less enjoyment. So, yeah, some of the stories are nice and you can see why they couldn't have been done but... its just not Buffy. *shrug*

I had never even THOUGHT of the pairing until I read the comics. And you should read them! They make me pull my hair out at times and I haven't read all of the first arcs but I like the ideas. They give my muse a lot of good fodder!

And I will be SO ANGRY if they kill Dawn. It would be JUST LIKE JOSS to kill her off just when things are looking up!

This is the last arc of the series and I don't believe they're making any more. That's what I understood but I could be wrong. By December (or maybe into the next year but I think there's just 5 more issues left) we'll know everything there is to know!

This reminds me of the live shadow-cast performance I recently saw that did Once More With Feeling, and how "Shut up, Dawn!" was the most common phrase screamed by the audience.

I've heard that people do that when they watch the show in groups. I can't think what it's called now but you know, the big groups of people that watch the show together and yell back at the screen.

I forget the term for it too, but it's something like life-action interactive audience, or something. I love going to them - it's a blast.

Don't worry about the story or rushing it! I haven't posted it anywhere. (: It's for Minerva Fest, so the mods told me I could get it betaed before the end of September. Don't worry about not getting it back immediately! It's a long and remarkably boring story! Hahaha. Not bad Lar. :P
