Author's Note: With this fic, I think I've started to find my voice for Ginny. With GinnyBigBang looming, I've been trying to find the voice I want to use and this story really spoke to me. I also thought it was the best of my three attempts but I knew I couldn't stay in the running for much longer. My writing doesn't go well with voting. Oh well. I like it and that's all that matters! Although I do hate the ending but I was running out of words. When time permits, perhaps I'll fix it.

Neville didn't flinch as the imperious voice filled Greenhouse Three. Instead, he kept digging in the mallowsweet patch as if there had been no interruption. "You won't find him here, Malfoy. Your boy seldom comes down from the Astronomy Tower if he can help it. The gardens don't interest him."

The door shut and a lock clicked into place. "Good. Than I won't have to worry about explaining myself."

"I could do with an explanation."

The thin hand that caressed down his back was much as he remembered it, causing a shiver of remembrance. "And you shall have it. After I've reminded you how much you've missed me."

"I haven't missed you." Neville bit back a moan. It was never wise to let on how he counted the hours between each visit. Draco was, after all, a dotting father who paid Hogwarts regular visits. "You're eager tonight. Have you missed me?"

That earned him a nip of sharp teeth on his shoulder blade. Neville didn't think he'd get an answer until, almost too soft to make out, he heard, "Every moment I'm away."

I don't believe I ever put this up here in this journal, either! For shame!

This is one of my most favorite drabbles that I've ever done. I played on what might have happened and came up with...

Prompt: How am I supposed to go on with my life knowing what we had? What we could have had? at Harry Potter Uncanon Drabble-A-Thon

He'd made his choice. Late at night, Snape told himself that she made her decision first, but he'd always known what he wanted so he couldn't blame her for the direction he was going in. Love was not something he'd imagined finding in life, if that was what this devotion could be called. Obsession, maybe. Lust.

Now that he almost had it, he didn't know what to do with it. It was too foreign to make any sense of it. If he could have had one wish, he would have asked for time to stand still. That was their only choice for happiness.

His head knew what his heart couldn't bear to understand - Lily could never be his.

And yet... and yet... the ache of wanting a future with her resounded through him. He didn't know how to turn away from the look in her eyes that told him he could have it if he only... but no. Best not to dwell on her eyes.

Keep my heart, he whispered into the darkness of his memory where she still patiently stood. I won't be able to take it with me now.

"First goal gets first choice." Blaise glanced at the intense girl out of the corner of his eye. The same rules applied each time they met - no one talked about anything other than what was happening on the Quidditch pitch and each goal meant the loser lost a piece of clothing. As a stress reliever, it was unparalleled as far as he was concerned.

"Just fly already."

"Something wrong, little girl?"

The way she flipped her hair over her shoulder told him how much she appreciated the term. "If it's conversation you crave, I'm sure you can find some other girl to fawn over your wit. I've got better things to do."

"No, you don't. If you did, you wouldn't be here, now would-" Her broom caught him behind the knees, knocking him flat. "Hey!"

"Fly, Zabini. Or go back to your lair."

Knowing she'd wouldn't play as well when she was off-kilter, he unbuttoned his shirt. "I'm feeling so good today, I'll spot you a point."

She knelt down beside him, a smile tugging at her lips. "That's not very fair. I better even it up again."

The beginning of a new chaptered story I'm starting! I've talked about for it awhile but it wasn't until I finished rereading Book 7 that it started to click. I'm not promising anything but so far I'm enjoying this story!

This won't go out to the communities I wrote it for until my betas come back with the "all clear" but I'm hoping to get it soon.

I'm not going forward with this storyline. It's too complicated and there isn't a good middle to this story. Only a good beginning and ending. Maybe later. The new Mari/Greg story can be found here
