First, I must tell you of some news I saw in TV Guide... the Veronica Mars movie still exists! It's written, Kristen Bell is still on board and they're looking for financing. That's good news! While I like my share of current TV, I miss Veronica and the gang!

Second, Dollhouse is starting this Friday!!! Whoot! (done only as a white girl can)

Third, I think Noodle and I broke the internet connection while setting up password-enabled stuff. The two of us together make a smart human being but not a true computer geek! She's home today and I'm hoping she'll continue with the work of figuring out if the connection is screwed up or just bad because of the weather. I'm just so tired of being the smart one when it comes to computers. I miss having an IT department to lean on! Really, I'm only good for asking "Have you tried rebooting it?" and then rebooting even if they say yes.

Fourth, I'm so glad that winter is finally on the decline. I know the groundhog saw his shadow but this is the time of the year that I don't mind the snow. It's on the out and warm weather is sure to come soon. Winter isn't the long, cold void of nothingness on the horizon anymore. Most of it is behind me! Hooray! It's something to hold onto, knowing this current snow is going to disappear much quicker than its December counterpart.

Fifth, From the pics in the TV Guide, I'm glad HRG is going to get some of his own. That's all I'm saying. I need to get on Hulu soon and watch this last episode again. I decided to wait until the later broadcast last night and watching it at 10pm makes it harder for me to concentrate on the storyline. I missed a couple different things which means I felt lost for most of it.

Sixth, My feet still hurt from standing on concrete yesterday. I did my good deed for the week by helping make 1000 boxed lunches for the Special Olympics. It was almost like old times... but with a lot more bitching and moaning from co-workers. I think some of these ladies need to retire or find new jobs! They can't find joy in ANYTHING. It's sad! I'm going to start with some Advil today where I normally wait for awhile. At least I broke in my new trainers! They're going to work just fine!

This week, I didn't get my TV Guide until today. Last week's TV Guide, that is. I tend to pick up my magazines on Mondays (and my comics on Wednesdays!) so I have a tendency to miss out on getting TV Guide on time. Of course, I read it for the articles and not as a means of telling me when my shows are on.

And you'll have to excuse me if I tell you something here, thinking it's brand new and fresh, and you're like "Uh, Lar... that's very old news." I only know things if they're on Fox News or the Golf Channel. I live vicariously through NetFlix and my old(ish) copies of TV Guide.

Here's a tidbit that caught my eye and made me laugh out loud. It's from the Inbox:

On Heroes there are people who fly, travel through time and turn themselves into nuclear meltdowns, but the part that Tim Eimer finds hard to believe is that too many people could see an eclipse? If you're looking for a science lesson, Heroes probably isn't the show for you. -Bobby Blankenship, Arlington, TX

EXACTLY! Why do people try to make shows like that "normal"? It's like expecting real medicine out of Grey's Anatomy or real teenagers out of Gossip Girl. It's TV! It's supposed to be unrealistic!

I kept seeing ads for Dr. Horrible on Facebook and kept thinking that the main character looked like Neil Patrick Harris. Come to find out - it IS NPH! Hooray! Joss Whedon... does that man ever sleep? It's newly out on DVD and I think I shall have to purchase it. There's an "entirely new musical commentary sung by the cast and creators, mocking the very idea of tell-all, fan-pandering DVD commentary tracks." Hey! I'm one of those fans who love those commentary tracks! *grins*

New shows coming out...

Castle with Nathan Fillion. I'm sure glad he's coming back to TV. This looks like a show that I'll have to push to see. It looks interesting and who wouldn't to watch something dubbed "2009's answer to Jessica Fletcher"? I'm hoping that's tongue in cheek.

True Beauty looks mildly interesting. Anything Ashton Kutcher decides to think up always has a twist... at least the first time around.

Reaper is coming back. I thought that show had died a nice quiet death but I guess they're bringing it back for the winter doldrums, seeing if anyone is bored enough to get excited about it. I wish I could like it. I really do. I mean, come one! Bret Harrison! So cute!

The Biggest Loser has some girls from Idaho. Will have to watch just for that! We normally only watch that show when Noodle is home. She likes it but I still can't watch it without cringing at all the exercise!

Kings looks interesting! "It's a mythological time but set in the present." Hmmmm... I like stuff like that.

Watched Flashpoint last week. Actually, very interesting. Bet I see it again!

Ahhh... here's what I was looking for... Dollhouse! Once again, a show I will need to find on the web or wait for it to come out on NetFlix so I just hope it sticks around! Personally, the premise as I've read about it sounds really interesting and exactly what Joss is so perfect at. I just wish the TV Execs got him! He's a cult-leader. Eventually someone will get that.

Anyone seen this? A remake of The Electric Company on PBS. Hey, you guuyys! The reboot of the classic kid's series focuses on a group of teens trying to keep their neighborhoods safe with a set of reading superpowers. Okay, if anyone were to get superpowers from reading, it should be me! Why hasn't it happened yet! Do I need to move somewhere different? Is there not enough crime on these Idaho streets to warrent giving out reading superpowers? Darn!

Wow. A new Real World. I would have thought that premise had been done and redone to death and beyond. Oh well. Good luck, kids! Don't think this is going to get you too far.

Best and Worst Dressed...
Top nods, of course, goes to Gossip Girl's Serena van der Woodsen. Worst dressed... drum roll please. Betty Suarez in Ugly Betty. Only goes to show that the costumers on the shows are doing their jobs! Do love that Whoopi Goldberg and the Real Housewives of Orange County got nods in the Worst Dressed Category. Hmmm...

There you have it. Thanks for reading the TV Guide with me this morning!
